Opportunity Profile

Chaengwattana Community Church (CCC) is an evangelical, multinational, and non-denominational congregation rooted in the unity of Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit for witness in the Bangkok–Nonthaburi area and beyond.

About The Church

CCC exists to encourage and equip people to experience Jesus Christ and to walk with Him in their daily lives.

CCC is located in Nichada (see Nichada.com), an enclave of approximately 2,000 homes, villas, and condos. Established in 1986, Nichada is a premier gated expat community offering a secure, Western-style, family-friendly environment with lush green spaces, a lake, 24-hour security, the International School Bangkok (ISB), a supermarket, spa, shops, and restaurants. CCC also attracts people living outside of Nichada.

Eight years ago, when CCC averaged 90–120 people in Sunday services, the Chevron oil industry management contract in Thailand ended. This resulted in many families relocating out of the country, and the church experienced a significant transition. Since that time, CCC has not had a full-time pastor.

The Elder Board—typically around six elders—has faithfully provided spiritual leadership through preaching, discipleship, and pastoral care. This is complemented by the Deacon Board, which manages administrative responsibilities. A Leadership Council (Elders, Deacons, and Ministry Leads) provides overall oversight.

CCC is supported by eight ministries—Encouraging Women, Men’s Fellowship, Children’s Ministry, Youth Ministry, Praise & Worship Ministry, AV/Tech Ministry, Hospitality, and Mission Outreach—each playing a vital role in creating meaningful opportunities for connection, service, and spiritual growth across all ages and backgrounds.

The church is well run and has strong potential to grow to three times its current size.

Worship Style

CCC has a blended worship style, incorporating both hymns and contemporary songs led by a worship team.

The Opportunity

CCC is seeking a full-time Lead Pastor to shepherd the congregation, provide spiritual leadership, and help guide the church into its next season of growth and impact.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Theologically trained (seminary training preferred) from an accredited institution. At least five years of ministry experience, preferably in a pastoral role.

  • A devoted Christian with a strong commitment to personal growth, discipleship, and servant leadership.

  • Ordained within the scope of evangelical Christianity.

  • Passionate about communicating the Gospel and inspiring others through both word and action.

  • Able to engage people from diverse denominations and nationalities with humility and respect.

  • Cross-cultural experience, Southeast Asia (ideal), the rest of Asia (next best), or a non-English-speaking country (as a minimum).

  • Strong communicator and self-starter with a balanced and disciplined work ethic. Able to communicate clearly in English and willing to learn Thai to a conversational level.

  • Demonstrated ability to grow ministry (attendance and/or budget). Desire for long-term ministry (minimum five years; ideally 10+ years).

  • Capable of leading staff, collaborating with ministry leaders, and fostering unity within the church.

  • Consistently demonstrates the Fruit of the Spirit in relationships and leadership. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.

Saul may have wanted a more experienced person to fight Goliath, but God had David in mind and empowered him to succeed. Likewise, the right candidate may not meet every expectation on paper but may be uniquely called and equipped for this role.

Candidate Profile

CCC is self-supporting and will provide a reasonable compensation package aligned with its financial capacity.

Additional ministry support may be raised by the pastor, with the expectation that the church will progressively increase its share as the congregation grows in membership, giving, and financial strength, with the goal of assuming primary support over time.
