Esther: An Evil Man and an Evil Plan

Week 3:

This week, we continued our journey through Esther 3:1–15 and met Haman, a man who quickly rose to power in King Ahasuerus’ administration. The king gave Haman great authority, and everyone was expected to bow before him.

But Mordecai refused.

What may have seemed like a simple act of defiance soon became much more serious. Haman’s pride and hatred led him to make a devastating plan against God’s people.

We also looked back at Haman’s connection to King Agag and the Amalekites, tracing the long history of conflict between the Amalekites and Israel.

As we study this chapter, we are reminded that God is always at work, even when His hand is not immediately visible. What looks like a dark and uncertain moment is not the end of the story.
