Hope After Loss: A place prepared

Loss and uncertainty can leave us searching for hope and wondering what comes next. In John 14, Jesus speaks directly to hearts that are troubled, reminding us that we are never abandoned and that our future is secure in Him.
This week in our Beyond series, students explored the powerful promise that heaven is real — not simply an idea or metaphor, but a place lovingly prepared by Jesus Himself. Even in seasons of grief, disappointment, or change, we can hold onto the assurance that God’s promises remain true.
Through Scripture, students were encouraged to trust that suffering is not the end of the story. God uses every season to strengthen perseverance, shape character, and grow a hope that does not fade. As we walk through life’s uncertainties, we can move forward with confidence, knowing Christ goes before us and prepares the way.
Bottom Line
Heaven is not a metaphor — it’s a promise. And Jesus Himself is preparing it for you.
Memory Verse
"Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us."
