The lesson focused on helping the students understand that we don’t know everything and we can’t control everything—but God sees the whole picture. Because He is in control, we can trust Him and make wise choices with what we can control.

Key Activities:

  • Opening Hook – “Can I Control It?”

Students sorted different situations into what they can control and what they can’t control.

  • Game – “Puzzle You Can’t See”

Students worked on puzzles with missing pieces and limited visibility, helping them understand that we often only see part of the picture, while God sees the whole picture.

  • Bible Discovery – Colossians 1:17

“He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”

Students explored what this means and how it reminds us that God is never surprised and can work even through difficult situations.

  • Video – “Living on the Edge”

Students listened for reasons why we can trust God and discussed what stood out to them.

  • Activity – “Trust Under Pressure”

Students worked through real-life scenarios by asking four questions:

What do I know? What don’t I know? What can I do? What can I trust God with?

  • Craft – “Trust When I Can’t See”

Students created a simple foldable reminder of what they can control and what they need to trust God with.

Prayer & Weekly Challenge:Students were encouraged to pray, “God, I don’t know everything, but You do. Help me trust You and make wise choices with what I can control.”

They were challenged throughout the week to stop when faced with something they cannot control and ask:“What can I control, and what can I trust God with?”
