Pastor Matt Tyler (March 01, 2026)

Matt and Emily live in Bangkok, Thailand, with their four children—Samuel, Calvin, Owen, and Lucy. Matt earned both his MDiv and ThM from Southern Seminary.

In August 2022, they planted Bangkok City Baptist Church in the heart of the city, where Matt now serves as Lead Pastor. He also serves as a founding board member of Saphan Siam, a ministry of the church devoted to equipping and training Thai Christians and local churches.

 The family is sent out by Third Avenue Baptist Church and is supported by several faithful churches across the United States.

Having lived in Asia for more than a decade, Matt and Emily are deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve the saints at BCBC and to share the gospel throughout Thailand.
